This album is frequently overshadowed, likely due to several unfortunate occurrences around the time of its planned release. This is an incredibly thought-provoking album that is very well produced, containing some of the darkest beats and subject matter in the entire catalog. Eternally underrated but it stands right up there with the best of his releases.

This was actually the first Del album I bought physically. While this one’s definitely not in the upper echelon of Del’s work in my opinion, it is kind of cool to see such a strikingly personal side of an artist and I do enjoy the different vibe this album gives. I cannot pinpoint what makes it different but it stands out. Some of the tracks are absolutely amazing though.
