This album is frequently overshadowed, likely due to several unfortunate occurrences around the time of its planned release. This is an incredibly thought-provoking album that is very well produced, containing some of the darkest beats and subject matter in the entire catalog.
Eternally underrated but it stands right up there with the best of his releases. jpvxex

Laid back, cascading vocals over sweet jazz tracks made me very happy. Lyrics often squeeze your soul and plenty of head-bobbing beats. Recommend both albums. trueblu-fu

Mike is in a lane of his own. Such a quality catalog of ALBUMS. You can throw any one of them on after a few years and it's like you just listened to it last week. Ryan Evans HTX
